| Placing relays with your computer Special instruction for PC users:Michigan Relay consumers who use personal computers are able to use their communication software to allow them to receive and transmit data. You will also need to make sure your set up will allow you to connect to Michigan Relay Center. You can dial 800-649-3777 or 711 when calling voice parties. This option saves time and speeds up the connection time of your call. It is very simple to set up. For those who already have HYPERTRM installed skip to #10. Just follow the instructions: For those who have PC Windows 95/98:
Watch on dial and wait until it is connected, and wait for the Relay to respond first, then you can type and talk with representative. Or ask representative to call any hearing person. If the call failed then go to FILE to find Properties under it. Click on Properties. Select which port that your modem is on "com1 or com2" (by default) and check for correct settings.
